EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Applied Mechanics -

1. Master Degree/ B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/ Civil/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Civil/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 02 years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.
OR
Three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Civil/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering or equivalent (after 10+2) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute with three years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

2. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, M.S Word, Excel, Power-point or equivalent is a must.

Biochemical Engineering And Biotechnology (DBEB) -

1. SLA for UG Lab (01 Post) -

M.Sc. in Life Sciences or Biochemistry and a minimum of 03 years research experience in Molecular Biology lab with at least 55% marks in secondary, higher secondary and B.Sc.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling equipment such as electrophoresis apparatus, centrifuge, spectrophotometer, thermal cycler, lyophilizer, autoclave and microscope.

Desirable Qualification: PhD Life Sciences or Biochemistry

2. SLA for Instrumentation lab (01 Post) -

M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry or Life Sciences or Biochemistry and a minimum of 03 years hands-on experience in operating HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS with at least 55% marks in secondary, higher secondary and B.Sc.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in operating HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS.

Desirable Qualification: PhD in Engineering Life Sciences or Biochemistry or Analytical Chemistry with experience in operating HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS

3. SLA for Bioprocess lab (01 Post) -

B.Tech. in Engineering or Biotechnology and a minimum of 03 years hands-on experience in operating chemical or biological reactors with at least 55% marks in secondary, higher secondary and B.Sc.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling chemical or/and biological reactors.

Desirable Qualification: M.Tech in Engineering or Biotechnology with experience in operating chemical or biological reactors.

Chemical Engineering -

1. Master Degree/ B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Chemical/ Chemistry/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical/ Chemistry/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 02 years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

2. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, M.S Word,Excel, Power-point or equivalent is a must.

Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) -

1. B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.

2. Familiarity with Computer System Hardware, Networking Hardware, installation of Windows/ Linux/ Mac OS operating systems and trouble shooting.

Electrical Engineering -

1. Master Degree/ B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.
OR
Three years Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (after 10+2) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute with 03 years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

Humanities & Social Sciences (HUSS) -

1. Master Degree in Science/ Computer Science or B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in appropriate field with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.

Mathematics -

Department of Management Studies (DMS) -

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 05 years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

2. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, (M.S Word, Excel, Power-point etc.), Software installation & Network Management is a must.

Mechanical Engineering -

Bachelor’s Degree in Science (must have Physics or Electronics as a major subject) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 02 years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

4. SLA Fibre Science (01 Post) -

M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/ Polymer Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 02 years experience in Polymer/ Fibre Processing.

B.Tech. Textile Technology with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 02 years experience in Fibre Production/ Processing.
OR
B.Tech. Polymer Science with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with 02 years experience in Fibre /Polymer Processing.

Centre for Applied Research in Electronics (CARE) -

1. Master Degree/ B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or equivalent in appropriate field with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with two years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.
OR
Three years Diploma in Engineering / Applied Science or equivalent in appropriate field (after 10+2) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute with three years relevant experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

Experience:

(i) For the 02 SLA positions for computing laboratories: “At least one year experience in Systems Administration, UNIX/LINUX, Programming in C, C++, and Fortran”; (ii) and/or atleast one year experience/exposure of working in instrumental laboratories.

(ii) For the 01 SLA position for atmospheric instrumentation lab: At least one year experience in handling atmospheric and/or air pollution equipments.

Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) -

1. B.Tech in Engineering/ M.Sc. in Applied Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute with more than two years relevant experience (Electrical/ instrumentation/ Computer/ Biomedical Research) in the Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 (Level 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent.

2. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, M.S Word, Excel, Power-point or equivalent is a must.

Centre for Energy Studies (CES) -

(a) B.Tech or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute – with (desirable) ONE of them having experience in ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION and SECOND having experience in ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTATION FOR DEVICE MEASUREMENTS. (02 posts)

(b) B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute – with (desirable) having experience in Mechanical Instrumentation. (01 post)

Department of Material Science & Engineering (DMSE) -

1. Master Degree/ B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Science/ Computer Science/ Computer Application with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.

1. M.Sc. (Biological Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Agricultural Science/ Environmental Sciences/ Food Science)/ B.Tech with knowledge of Biogas, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Food Analysis, Environmental Techniques, Bio-fertilizers and Bio-pesticides with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute. 2. Three years Diploma (after 10+2) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute with three years relevant experience in handling mechanical devices, agricultural farm equipment,Biogas Plant, Upgradation System etc. (01 Post)

3. Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer office applications, M.S Word,
Excel, Power-point or equivalent is a must.

Central Research Facilities (CRF) -

1. Masters Degree in Sciences or equivalent or B.E/ B.Tech in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institute.

Computer Services Centre (CSC) for ERP -

Qualification:
B.Tech.(CS)/ Masters Degree in Computer Science/ MCA with minimum of 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA and above in 10 point scale.

Essential Technical Skills:
Very sound knowledge of Java, JSP, Servlets, Ibatis, Ajax/ Hibernate and a good working knowledge of any Database with good analytical thinking.

Experience:
Minimum 02 years of hard core programming/ coding in Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring frame work with Ibatis and Ajax/ Hibernate platform with a sound knowledge of Database. The coding experience for Higher Technical Education Institution ERP would be highly preferable and shall be given weightage.

Job Requirements:
The selected candidates is expected to carry out the following assignments:
1. Programming/ Coding using Java technologies.
2. Support working of existing ERP modules (bug fixing, adding new functionality, user interaction, trouble shooting etc)
3. Support any other system related activities as and when assigned depending on the need of the Institute.
